DCF has announced they will launch a new website to help answer questions regarding Florida's New Background Screening law.

Florida is about to implement important changes to ensure the safety of Floridians who are so dependent on the quality of the people caring for them. Effective August 1, 2010 screenings MUST be completed to prior to an employee beginning employment . There will also be other significant and immediate changes under this new law.

Florida House Bill 5311 signed by Governor Crist has eliminated inspections by the Florida Department of Health for hospitals, daycare facilities and nursing homes in the State of Florida effective July 1, 2010.

This year’s legislative session was once again marked by the budget and the fighting for every dollar among the many varied interest.
